2008/9 JURGENS CARAVANS RELAUNCH WITH NEW SPECS -
LIGHTER, STRONGER, MORE-EFFICIENT SPACE
Press Release Date: September 2008
Jurgens Ci, Leaders in Leisure, are ready to release a newly updated range of caravans at the ‘Spring Fever' Pretoria Show, which runs from 27 August through to 7 September 2008.
Every Jurgens caravan has been scientifically designed to deliver the greatest structural integrity at the lowest possible weight. Add the aerodynamic efficiency and Jurgens caravans are a pleasure to tow and easy to handle on site. Jurgens continually investigate ways in which to improve their products, and the new specifications are the latest results of such research.
First of the upgrades is to the modular chassis, which is completely electrocoated. The technique provides a more even coating to the metal, with even better corrosion resistance than the hot-dip galvanising used on earlier chassis. Furthermore, the modular chassis is lighter yet stronger, and it makes the caravan easier to tow.
Jurgens has decreased the nose weight of the caravans by moving the battery from the A-frame section to the dinette bunk, making each model even easier to manipulate.
Another physical difference is that the Exclusive and Classique models now have sandwich-panel roofs, which add more strength and prevent any chance of de-lamination.
Inside, buyers will approve of the stainless-steel hand sink and kitchen sink, as well as the modern, dark fabrics and finishes for the floor and walls.
In addition, the straight island beds in the Fleetline and Palma models give more cupboard and walk-around space than the previous skewed layout. As for air conditioning, dedicated space has been created for a Samsung air conditioner in the Exclusive and Classique models.
Four of the five models - Fleetline, Penta, Palma, and Exclusive - have four berths; the Classique has two. All have a full modular tent and groundsheet, which provide extra sleeping and living space.
As for the kitchen, each model has a two-burner gas stove with glass top and capacious 19-litre microwave.
Finishes include heavy-duty vinyl cushion flooring, washable Renolit wall and furniture covering, and colour-coordinated upholstery and window blinds. Naturally, there is soft-edge cornering on all worktops, interior lights and exterior patio light, and exterior 220 V multiplug.
Island beds have an Easy-Lift gas strut, and there is ample storage space in overhead lockers, wardrobes, and cupboards. Each model has a liquor cabinet, too.
The Pretoria Show, which has been running for 69 years, has 42 000 square metres of undercover exhibition halls and 30 000 of outdoor exhibition space. There are also various arenas, an amusement park, a kids' area and food courts. More than 750 commercial exhibitors will be represented this year, and 30 000 visitors - including many families - are expected.
The Pretoria Show is an ideal environment to showcase the new updated, lighter, stronger and spectacular range of Jurgens caravans.
